Telephone Consultation |
by Dr. James Sutton, Consulting Psychologist
In response to requests to do telephone consultation regarding youngsters with emotional and behavioral issues, I have now established "by appointment" consults from my office. (They call this "coaching" in the business world.) This service will be available to parents, schools, agencies and organizations that work with special needs youngsters. The aim here is to offer an objective view of situations and circumstances, while brainstorming possibilities for intervention. I am one of only a few child and adolescent psychologists who has actually been a special education teacher. Regarding things like behavioral plans, I have a pretty good idea of what will work and what will not. Telephone consultation will be available on a set fee of $125 per consult (approximately an hour in length), payable by purchase order or credit card. This is a time-efficient and cost-effective arrangement that benefits everyone. There are no hassles, no contracts and no travel expenses ... just an effective way to access 30 years of "been there; done that" experience. I am VERY clear on the fact that no one person will ever have all the answers to tough situations, but just a few suggestions can often make a dramatic difference ... and maximize existing funds and resources. Please be aware that consultation, especially by phone, is not treatment, assessment or therapy. It is not covered by health insurance. For more information, call: 800-659-6628.
To initiate a consultation, follow the steps below: 1. Call for an appointment (800-659-6628). You will be given a phone number to call at the agreed upon time. 2. If a school or agency, a purchase order for the consult can be faxed to 830-281-2617. 3. To pay with MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover or electronic check, use the button below and follow the instructions. I use PayPal, an excellent and secure on-line service. When you pay, both you and I will receive a verification by email. (Do this AFTER you have the appointment.) 4. Call for the consult at the appointed time.
